Prototype Data - SOO LINE 17100-17498 (even #'s) series boxcar
This kit is for the SOO LINE 17100-17498 (even numbers only) 50ft exterior post boxcars. These cars were built by SOO Fond-Du-Lac Shops in 1968. They had R-3/4 Improved Dreadnaught ends, overhanging diagonal panel roofs, 33 inch wheels, and AAR classified XML. Cars were painted freight car red and used in general merchandise and paper loading service.

Some cars were conveyed to the Wisconsin Central. The final SOO lettered cars were retired in 1990.

Styrene sides, ribs and doors.

Modeler must supply the following to complete the car:

ACCURAIL: 50ft boxcar underframe.
TICHY: Part No.3062 - 18 inch grab irons (recommended, cab be replaced by 18 inch wire grab irons)

DETAILS WEST - Part No. LA1005 - Ladders
